The town’s annual Victorian Christmas market began on Wednesday (December 2) and will continue until Sunday afternoon.
Six machines will ensure plenty of the make-believe snow which was popular last year will again be falling on the London Road precinct. The High Street has been added to the snowfall sites.
Along the precinct, some 20 stalls are selling seasonal foods as well as crafts and Christmas gifts.
Entertainment has been lined up by the town centre manager, Toyubur Rahman, to add to the atmosphere of the occasion.
Many shops will also be staying open late this Saturday.
