ROAD stays shut after two cars collide in Shripney.

The A29 at Shripney Road, Shripney, has been closed after two cars crashed at 8.50am this morning (Friday, August 23).

One of them, a Honda Civic, left the road and went into a ditch. The woman driving that car was freed by firefighters.

Initial reports suggest any injuries are not serious but emergency services are still dealing with the scene and no further information is available at this time.

Meanwhile drivers are advised to avoid the area for the time being if at all possible.
