DRIVERS have faced long delays after a large section of the A29 was shut.
The main route in and out of Bognor Regis was closed this morning (Friday, February 7) because of subsidence.
The main route, which connects the town to the Six Villages, was shut in both directions between Rowan Way and the B2233 Nyton Road.
Tailbacks on nearby roads were also caused as motorists struggled to find alternative routes.
The road has been plagued with flooding problems with recent closures just last month and in late 2013.
West Sussex County Council has carried out works in Sack Lane in a bid to tackle the ongoing problems.
It is not clear at this stage when the route will re-open.
