UPDATE: Drugs believed to have been found in Wick house fire

IT HAS been reported cannabis was found when firefighters went to tackle a house fire in Wick this morning (May 19).

Police are yet to confirm the find, however it is believed firefighters from Worthing and Littlehampton who went to tackle the blaze in Glenavon Mews, off Clun Road, discovered an unknown quantity of cannabis being grown in the home.

Police were also at the scene of the fire after the 4.40am 999 call this morning.

No one was hurt in the incident but details on whether anyone was in the property at the time are yet to be confirmed.
