The A27 at Whyke Roundabout is open again after being closed following a collision involving a van.

Police were called at 6.05am to a single vehicle collision involving a Ford van.

Both lanes were closed while police waited for Highways England to clear up a fuel leak on the road, according to Sussex Police.

No injuries were reported but a spokesperson for Sussex Police described the incident as ‘a bit of a mess’ due to the leak.

A spokesperson for the Highways England confirmed that the road is now open again.
