Tree falls onto passing car in Bognor

Police said they were called just after 12.35pm following reports that a tree had fallen on a car in Lidsey Road.

A police spokesperson said: “It appears as though the tree has come down in the strong winds and a branch has gone through the window of a passing car. The driver of the vehicle, a woman, was thankfully uninjured and able to get out.”

Police added that officers remain on scene at this time to manage traffic flow and await assistance from the Highways agency to clear the road.
