Homes in Bognor Regis have been damaged by what eye witnesses have called a tornado.
The incident happened about 9am today (Friday, July 8). Emergency services were called to the scene and Sussex Police quickly cordoned off the area.
Properties in Linden Road, Dorset Road, Highland Avenue and Murina Avenue are being inspected by officers from West Sussex Fire and Rescue service.
Firefighters then assessed the roof damage caused by the storm which passed through the area.
Police officers were on the scene clearing up debris.
There have been no reports of injuries to anybody.
