VANDALS have damaged more than 50 cars around Bognor Regis.
The yobs spray painted a red line on the sides of the vehicles in more than a dozen roads from Felpham to Aldwick.
It is believed there were three men or boys on bicycles involved in the widespread vandalism. I
t occurred late last Saturday (October 5) night or early Sunday morning.
Sergeant Chris Pipkin, from Bognor’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard any of the damage being caused or who saw three people on bikes cycling through Bognor together in the early hours of October 6.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have found discarded aerosol paint cans or any shop workers who remember seeing red spray paint being bought in bulk.
“Vandalism is unacceptable. We are determined to catch those responsible and have officers working hard to identify them.”
The roads targeted included Pevensey Road, Highcroft Crescent, Merrion Avenue, Westloats Lane, Shripney Road, Ivy Lane, Kenilworth Road, Orchard Way, North Way, Gravits Lane, Mayfield Road, Sandymount Avenue and Waverley Road.
No descriptions of the offenders are yet available but one had a distinctive reflective strip across his back.
