TWO men have been arrested and charged with a number of burglaries and a robberies in Felpham.
Raymond Lindsay, 38, of Newcastle and Mark Gavin, 41, of Luton have both been charged with committing a robbery at Fitzleet House, in Bognor on August 26 and burglaries at Admirality Road, Felpham on August 24 and Downview Road, Felpham, on August 22.
Gavin has also been charged with a robbery at the Midway, Felpham, on August 25.
They were arrested in Weymouth on September 1 for an unrelated offence and then questioned and charged with these offences.
They appeared at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on September 3 and were remanded in custody until September 10.
Police are still seeking witnesses to the robbery that occurred at 1am on August 25 on Felpham seafront, adjacent to Longbrook (near Sea Lane), when a 44-year-old man was approached by two men as he walked home from Bognor.
They asked him if he had any money before assaulting him by punching him to the floor and kicking him, causing cuts and bruises to his face and head.
He managed to escape without anything being stolen but required hospital treatment the next day for his injuries.
