A teenager grabbed by a man in Bognor Regis managed to break free after he said he was taking her with him.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the 19-year-old was grabbed by a man who tried to drag her away in Flansham Lane.
She was walking towards the roundabout near the A259 at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, September 18, when the man approached her. He grabbed her by the arm and told her he was taking her with him.
The man was white, chubby and about 5’11”. He had dark spiky hair, spoke with a southern accent and was wearing a cream-coloured jacket with dark trousers.
PC Nicholas Meyer said: “This was clearly a distressing incident for the victim who was shaken and upset and sustained a minor injury to her arm.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who saw the victim running from the scene or the offender afterwards.
“I would urge anyone who knows anything to contact us - you might think what you know is not important but it could be vital to us.”
