GUIDES from Yapton and Walberton were wowed by top pop stars.
It was a day to remember as the girls headed to London’s Wembley Arena to see a stellar pop line-up perform at Girlguiding’s Big Gig 2013.
The girls were joined by some 23,000 Guides to see some of their favourite pop acts, including Little Mix, Union J, Conor Maynard and Katy B.
Holly Thompson, 10, said: “I really enjoyed the Big Gig.
“It was the third concert I’ve been to and definitely the best.
“I enjoyed all the acts, especially Charlie Brown, and it is definitely something I would like to do again.”
The girls also made it a day to remember by rocking matching colourful hair accessories as they danced and sang the afternoon away with their favourite stars.
Anna Drynan, leader of 1st Yapton Guides, said: “It is always special to see so many Girlguiding members in one place enjoying themselves.”
The Guides had a brilliant time – and there’s always room for more to join in.
Sarah Burford, leader of 1st Walberton Guides said: “The Guides thoroughly enjoyed the day and it demonstrates how Girlguiding is as relevant to girls today as it has been to girls in the past.”
