RESIDENTS are being urged to have their say on housing needs in Aldingbourne.
Next month, every household will be receiving a short questionnaire designed to assess housing needs.
It is being carried out by Action in Rural Sussex, a charity working to address issues affecting rural communities, in partnership with Arun District Council and many parish councils.
In many rural areas there is a yearly reduction in the number of affordable homes available which has resulted in many young people and families having to move away to find affordable housing.
Aldingbourne Parish Council is committed to ensuring a sustainable approach to housing delivery as part of its neighbourhood plan, where affordable housing is considered a central part of a healthy and diverse range of housing solutions.
The council would also like to hear from landowners or developers who want to promote land through the neighbourhood plan process to meet affordable housing needs.
