A LICK of paint will brighten up an estate in Bersted.
Residents of the Trees Estate have decided to bring some colour to their area today.
With support from Arun District Council, they’ll be painting the bollards dotted around the estate.
Dubbed the The Grand Painting Job the event is the brainchild of local resident Gez Watson, who got in touch with the council’s parks and housing teams to ask for a bit of help.
She said: “The grey concrete bollards have been looking out of place recently as some of the surrounding buildings have been re-painted in pastel colours.
“I thought it would be a good opportunity to freshen them up with a lick of paint and get the community together at the same time.”
Arun is helping out by providing £200 worth of supplies.
Anyone interested in helping out should meet in the Laurel Grove Car Park on the estate between 10am and 3pm. Please wear suitable old clothing and shoes.
Arun will provide the paint and brushes but would like residents to bring old dust sheets if possible.
