CHILDREN have been invited to take part in a walk along Bognor Regis seafront for a Felpham girl.
Cheryl Audin has organised the fundraising stroll to help the Pray for Issey fundraising campaign.
The money-raising efforts have been started by Paul and Samantha Riley whose daughter Isabella, seven, is having chemotherapy and radiotherapy after a brain tumour was removed.
As reported, the Sea Road couple want to help the Smile for Wessex children’s neurosciences unit at Southampton General Hospital and St Richard’s Hospital’s children’s cancer unit for the care they have given Isabella.
Essex Road resident Cheryl, a friend of Mr and Mrs Riley, said the walk of about five miles would start at 10am on October 5 at West Park in Aldwick and end on Elmer Beach. She hoped 50 youngsters would take part.
“When you hear about things like this, they seem so far away and you are pretty ignorant about it.
“But, when it happens to someone you know, it makes you more aware of the matter.
“I want to get children involved in Pray for Issey and raise awareness of what has happened.
“I also want to raise money for the wards because they are doing a fantastic job.
“It’s got to be good as well to let Paul and Samantha know people are thinking about them.”
As reported, Isabella had a five-hour operation at the general hospital last month in which a medulloblastoma was taken from her brain.
