A BOGNOR Regis teenager has drowned at a French ski resort after climbing a fence to take a late-night swim in an outdoor pool, police said.
Lucy Sallis, 19, had been working in the kitchen at La Belle Aurore hotel in Alpe d’Huez in south-eastern France.
It is believed Lucy was enjoying a night out with friends when the accident happened late on Tuesday (January 29) night.
Police say the group scaled a two-metre fence to gain access to the pool and Lucy became trapped under sheeting.
Tributes to the teenager have already been paid on the social networking site Twitter.
