STUDENTS from Felpham have proved they are prepared for a bright future.
Some 31 pupils from Felpham Community College have been celebrating after the were awarded either a bronze or silver Duke of Edinburgh award.
At a special ceremony held in Worthing, the students were given their accolades by Elizabeth Bennett, the chair of the Duke of Edingburgh county committee, as evidence of their hard work and determination over the previous year.
To achieve the award participants completed a specified number of hours volunteering in the community, as well as committing time to their own personal development by completing a physical activity and learning a skill.
The highlight of the award was the expedition where students planned and carried out a route across open countryside whilst being completely self-sufficient and working as a team.
Students faced an added challenge this year as bad weather conditions dominated the expedition.
