FUNDRAISERS throughout the area will join thousands today in pouring a cuppa in aid of cancer support.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s largest fundraising event of the year.

It sees people holding coffee mornings and gathering together to support those with cancer.

In 2012, 115,000 people signed up – raising £15m.

Since the first one was held in 1991 – which 2,600 registered for – it has raised £75m.

Sidlesham Primary School and Church Farm in Bosham are just a couple that are going on throughout the area.

Additionally, West Wittering hairdresser Sam Langley, in Rookwood Road, is running a coffee morning from 10am until midday – featuring a special cabaret performance.

Robin Smith is set to play guitar and there will also be a jukebox provided for visitors to have a song of their choice from a displayed playlist performed.

If you are not holding a coffee morning, but wish to attend one, there are a number going on in Chichester, including a vintage coffee morning at Pallant House Gallery, the Swanfield Community Centre and North Mundham Village Hall.

Also, St Peter’s Hall, in Selsey, will be holding a fundraising morning called Music for the under-fives.
