The pirates are coming to town

TIME to get into the carnival spirit in Bognor Regis.

Application forms to join in the fun at this year’s Bognor Regis Street Carnival are out.

The event, which will
take place on June 15, will have a pirate theme and residents are being encouraged to join in the swashbuckling antics by signing up and helping to make the event a success.

Working with the Rox music and arts charity, Bognor Regis Town Council will be bringing a slightly different event to the streets, but all the traditional fun of the carnival can still
be expected.

The carnival will be based along the Esplanade, on the Place St Maur and through the town.

Each group which enters will have their own space to showcase who they are and what they do.

Dance and music groups will also be showing
off their skills on the
Place St Maur.

Local traders are encouraged to join in the capers by dressing up their windows and staff.

Those taking part will be asked to dress in their finest pirate attire and there will be prizes for the best. But beware – that doesn’t mean you will be safe from walking the plank.

Look out for Captain Jack Sparrow as you may see
him wandering around the town, or perhaps Blackbeard.
