Show was a big success

MORE than £1,000 was raised in an evening for a life-saving defibrillator at Middleton Village Hall.

The Rotary Club of Bognor Regis and The Bognor Regis Lions Club joint hosted the annual evening with the Elmer Entertainers.

More than 80 people packed the hall for the latest event, enjoying the Elmer Entertainers taking to the stage for over two hours with their mixture of song and dance.

This year, both service clubs agreed the money raised from the evening would go to towards Middleton Parish Council’s appeal to install a defibrillator on the outside of the hall. The machine will allow members of the public to help save the life of a person suffering from a cardiac arrest by dialling 999 to access the equipment.

The appeal was launched by the parish council on January 1 for the £2,500 HeartSafe machine.
