“The electronic destination indicator is a new feature for us and full air conditioning has been installed for our passengers’ increased comfort.

“We are extremely grateful to the Government and to the Southern Co-operative for funding the new bus.”

In addition, some valuable extras were provided with the help of a grant from Selsey’s Southern Co-operative store’s community fund.

The Selsey Shuttle runs timetabled services around the town on four mornings each week, and ‘dial-a-ride’ services to Chichester and Church Norton.

All the drivers are volunteers and new drivers are always very welcome.

Further details and a timetable are available from the Selsey Shuttle co-ordinator, Fred Basson, on 01243 605554.
