A man from Selsey has been charged with drink-driving as part of Sussex Police’s June crackdown on drink and drug-driving.

Lee Moore, 38, was arrested at 12.50am on June 30 after he was found at the wheel of a Ford Focus in Oval Road, Selsey.

Moore, of Pennycord Close, Selsey, was charged with drink-driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence. He was released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on July 16.

A total of 94 people have so far been charged with offences during Sussex Police’s June drink and drug-driving operation.

As part of Operation Dragonfly, road policing unit officers are on dedicated patrols looking for offenders.

Teams are responding to tip-offs from members of the public who see someone they know has been drinking getting into a car to drive.
