Scout leaders’ work is hailed


SCOUTING leaders have been commended for their tip-top work.

Janet Ramsdale and Sue Young, both Scouters in Bognor Regis and District Scouts, have been presented with their Chief Scouts Commendation for Good Service.

Ally McCaffrey, District Commissioner for Bognor Regis and District Scouts said: “I am so happy that Sue and Janet received these awards as recognition of the hard work and effort they put in to making Scouting available and fun for young people in Bognor.”

The accolade recognises the tireless work and extraordinary effort put in by leaders and was awarded to the pair at the recent Beaver Founders Day Celebrations, held at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, in Glamis Street.

The award was presented by Gill Gladman, Assistant County Commissioner for Cub Scouts, who was their to represent the County Commissioner.

Janet (Otter) is a Beaver leader at 1st Felpham, while Sue (Shrew) is a Beaver leader at 1st Middleton-on-Sea.
