YOUNG footballers from a Bognor Regis school can tackle in style after being sponsored by an opticians in the town.
Specsavers in the London Road precinct has given The Regis School’s football team some new kit in black and white so they can play and look their best on the pitch.
John Crittenden, a PE teacher at the Westloats Lane school, said: “We’re very grateful to Specsavers in Bognor for these new football kits. Our pupils love their football and are keen to go and show off their new kit.”
Store director Jonathan West said: We’re very glad to have given these kits to The Regis School so that their football team can continue to play brilliantly.
“We want to support our community and will be cheering on the pupils when they’re playing the sport they love.”
Specsavers is a partnership of almost 2,000 locally-run businesses throughout the UK and eight other countries.
The backing of The Regis School is in addition to the support which Specsavers provides to national charities such as Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, road safety charity Brake and anti-bullying charity Kidscape.
