THE annual Oving scarecrow festival takes place this weekend.
The village scarecrow day takes place on Saturday from 12pm to 4pm.
The 2012 festival saw more scarecrows on display than in previous years, with many householders building their scarecrows for the first time.
There will be a voting table in the Jubilee Hall for people to vote for their favourites.
The Jubilee Hall will also be the venue for Morris dancing at 12pm, tractor rides, an Indian cookery demonstration, refreshments and much more.
It will also be the site for a Barn Dance at 6.30pm.
Throughout the day there will also be a number of events taking place at Madam Green Farm and St Andrew’s Church.
There will also be a special demonstration on the village’s new bike track by riders at 3pm.
At Madam Green Farm there will be a steam lorry and living van, an eight-tonne steam roller and a 12-tonne steam roller.
The farm will also host a dog obedience demonstration at 12.30pm.
Meanwhile, at St Andrew’s Church there will be face Painting, herbal walks at 1.30pm and 3pm and strawberries and Pimms being served.
