SUSSEX Police are on the hunt for a man seen wearing black jogging bottoms, a black sweatshirt and black boots in the heat of the day after an attempted burglary in Yapton.
The force released information yesterday about the man they want to speak to in connection with the incident earlier this month.
At about 10am on Wednesday, July 17, an attempt was made to break in to a house in North End Road, Yapton, but the would-be intruder failed to get in and left empty-handed.
A man, described as white, in his 30s, of medium to stocky build, with short dark hair, wearing black jogging bottoms, a black sweatshirt and very shiny black boots was seen nearby at the time and police would like to speak to him.
Detective Constable Claire Daysh said: “This man would have stood out due to his clothing in such hot weather. If you saw this man in Yapton on Wednesday and can help with that or any other information please call us on 101 quoting serial 0841 of 17/7. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
