SUSSEX Police has donated £5,000 of cash confiscated form criminals to the independent charity Sussex Crimestoppers.

Detective Chief Inspector Ali Eaton, handed the cheque to Carolyn Randall, area manager for Sussex Crimestoppers.

She said; “The Proceeds Of Crime Act is a great tool to strip offenders of their assets and plough it back into our fight against crime.

“By providing Crimestoppers with these extra funds we continue to support their campaigns throughout 2013, including awareness about rural crime, human trafficking and metal theft.”

Carolyn said: “We are delighted to be working with Sussex Police and to receive such a generous donation”.
