Events manager Julie Longman said: “Our ladies were very brave; us girls understand that it’s not easy looking great and walking in heels, and our honorary women did a fantastic job of filling our shoes.

“Huge thanks go to everyone involved in making the day such a success and to our volunteers for helping the day run smoothly. We hope people in the city enjoyed the spectacle, which is of course in aid of a very worthwhile cause and thank you to everyone who donated.

“All the girls have been raising sponsorship, which will enable us to continue providing specialist palliative and end of life care. Our catchment area runs from Emsworth to Arundel and at any one time we care for 200 people community. Money raised will help us to continue providing our services to people free of charge.”
