MORE than 150 photographs of Bognor Regis seafront have been received for a new competition.

The creative depictions of the town’s coastline have delighted the organisers at Bognor Pier Trust.

They challenged residents to be part of the bigger picture of Bognor’s revival – and they have been delighted by the response.

Competition organiser Val Souchet said: “We have been so happy to receive 157 entries so far through social media and email.

“We have been able to share entries on our Facebook page and Twitter account which has generated a lot of love for the beautiful photos that have been sent in.”

This is the second year the competition has been held. It ends on March 1. Entries have to show people, place or pier and be connected to the seafront.

Hard copies, measuring 10in x 8in, can be sent to the Bognor Regis Trust Photographic Competition, Bognor Regis Observer, Place St Maur, Belmont Street, Bognor Regis PO21 1BJ.

Photos can be emailed to: PierPictures@hotmail.com or uploaded or messaged to friends of bognor pier (Facebook) and @BognorPierTrust (Twitter) using #WeLoveBognorRegis

Winners will be announced by March 15. First prizes in each category will be the exhibition of the framed photos in Oxford’s Bar and Restaurant and a 16in x 12in canvas.

Runners up receive their photos on a 16in x 24in canvas with a 12in x 16in canvas for those in third place.
