SUPER-LUXURY car firm Rolls-Royce has confirmed work is underway on a new car.
The announcement was made today (August 5) by the Goodwood-based company.
Expected to reach the market by mid-2016, the model will work to ‘build on the success of Phantom, Ghost and Wraith’.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “I am truly delighted to confirm today the development of our new model which will open an exciting new chapter in the great story of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.”
The statement revealed it will be a ‘contemporary interpretation of a pinnacle drophead tourer’ and hopes are it will ‘introduce even more discerning men and women to Rolls-Royce ownership’.
Peter Schwarzenbauer, chairman of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said the car which is currently undergoing prototype testing ‘will play a key part in fulfilling Rolls-Royce Motor Car’s commitment to long-term sustainable growth’.
