SANTAS will be flying around Goodwood’s motor circuit this weekend, as motorcyclists rev up for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
The event – Santas on Motorbikes – is a unique opportunity for bikers to complete two parade laps around the circuit, and make their way up the Hillclimb, the principal attraction at the annual Festival of Speed.
Bikers can dust off their Santa outfits in aid of Chichester’s hospice, and make it a day to remember.
Sue Benham, a keen motorcyclist has signed up.
“The Santa ride around Goodwood Motor Circuit will be a great spectacle – seeing all the bikes and riders tinselled-up and in Santa suits and knowing that the fun we are having is helping St Wilfrid’s,” she said.
“What a great way to spend a Sunday morning on a race track that is not normally open to bike riders!”
Entry is £30, and afterwards the Santas can enjoy bacon butties and hot drinks.
There will be prizes for the best-dressed Santa and best-dressed bike and there will also be some live music to get everyone in the festive spirit.
The event starts at 10am on Sunday. For more information and to register, call the Santa hotline on 01243 755827.
