More spots needed to draw crowds

A CALL for more roadside advertising spots to help draw visitors in and support local groups has been made.

Steve Goodheart made his plea to last Wednesday’s meeting of the joint western Arun area committee.

“There is a need for this and the need is from groups as different as groups holding events in local community halls, to things going on in the national park, to the river Arun activities to things happening in Chichester Harbour – that gives you an idea of the diversity these advertising locations could pass on,” he said.

“The whole idea of it is to promote the area and what the area does throughout the year.”

He told councillors signs needed to placed on busy routes around the rest of West Sussex.

Meeting chairman Paul Wotherspoon told Mr Goodheart to write a list of suggestions of possible locations so they could be considered.
