ROYAL British Legion members in Aldwick can enjoy more room to relax.
The charity has received planning permission for a single storey extension of its premises on Hewarts Lane.
Approval for the scheme was unanimously granted by Arun District Council’s development control committee.
Planning officer Daniel Vick said the extension measured 16.7m deep, 7.2m wide and 3m high. “It is considered to be an acceptable form, scale and design that will not appear visually obtrusive or overbearing in the street scene,” he said.
Aldwick Parish Council and a club neighbour had objected.
