STUDENTS have been swotting-up to make sure they are exam ready.

The Year 11 students from Felpham Community College sampled what the summer has in store recently at their mock exam results presentation.

The mocks were held at the end of last term, giving students a first-hand experience of what they can expect in the fast-approaching exam season.

The presentation ceremony, held last week, was a chance for students to see what it feels like to open their result envelopes as well
as identify what areas they need to focus on.

Year 11 Hannah Merriman said: “I am extremely happy with my mock results. I attended all the revision classes last term and worked really hard at home in the run-up to the exams. I got seven A*, one A and one B.”

Student Matt Ryan added: “I got
a B+ in English
and media studies which I am really pleased with.

“The mocks have been a good opportunity to see what it will be like in our GCSEs next term and it is useful to see what subjects I now need to put extra time into.

“I play football for Barnham Trojans and I have applied to do A-Level PE in the sixth form as I would like to go on to university and study sport physiotherapy.”
