Military show to support heroes

A MILITARY vehicle and model show in aid of Help for Heroes is taking place in Bognor on Saturday (October 27).

The West Meads Community Hall will host the Bognor Military Modelling and Wargaming Society’s annual open day.

One of the events occurring is Make and Take, which gives members of the public the chance to experience making and painting a kit for the first time, and then taking it home with them.

In addition, the society also said they were pleased to welcome the West Sussex Military Vehicle Trust, who will be displaying vehicles outside the main hall. These should include jeeps, armoured cars and ambulances, but are subject to availability.

The show chooses a charity to support each year, and this year Help For Heroes was selected.

A representative from the charity will be on hand selling merchandise, and entry to the show is by donation to the charity.

All visitors to the show will be able to have an input this year by voting for the best model or display on show.

The society meets every Monday between 7.30pm and 10pm at West Meads Community Hall. There will be examples of their work on display.
