A Rox in the Park spokesman said: “Mardi Gras promises to be a fun and colourful, family friendly event. On the day, a number of local caterers, traders, music acts and dance groups will be coming together to create an unforgettable Mardi Gras experience.

“Parades involving the musicians, performers and dances shall also be held and will take place through the park to create an authentic carnival vibe.”
