Man arrested for spraying graffiti in Bognor Regis town centre

A MAN has been arrested after an alert member of the public spotted graffiti being spray painted in the Bognor Regis town area.

At 8.40pm on Tuesday, October 14, police arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage, after more than 100 incidents of graffiti had been sprayed on 33 walls and other spaces in the High Street area and nearby.

The graffiti was sprayed in blue paint and had the letters DSR in it.

The man, from Hayes in Middlesex, was released on police bail until November 19, while enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing to anyone else who may have seen anything suspicious or seen the offences taking place to come forward.

In addition, police would like to hear from anyone who has had their property sprayed with graffiti and not yet reported it.
