Loyal workers thanked for efforts at family fun day

FAMILY fun celebrated the efforts and loyalty of workers in Bognor Regis.

JCC Lighting, based in the Southern Cross Industrial Estate, off Beeding Close, held a family fun day.

The event was held to show gratitude to the company’s staff for their hard work and loyalty over the year, and their families for their support.

Chief operations officer, Jonathan Parry said: “For us it is about saying thank you to our employees for all they have done for the past year and for their continuing support.

“We have about 104 employees at JCC and I am very pleased to say we have a high retention rate of those staff. We recognise that as a company, if you treat your staff well and with respect, you will get the same back.”

The event last Friday was the second the company has held and also showed support for their charity partner, St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

“As a company we are very keen to support St Wilfrid’s Hospice. I know throughout the year we support them through raffles and other fundraisers, this is just a continuation of that,” said Mr Parry.

The fun on offer, which included a bouncy castle, barbecue and other games, was taken advantage of by some 180 guests.

There was also the chance of a pit stop experience with an F1 car. The firm is a sponsor of the Marussia motor racing team and there was a test car which gave JCC’s workers the challenge of changing one of the car’s tyres, in the fastest time.

The event was also used to celebrate the opening of the firm’s new innovation centre.

“This day has had a double purpose for JCC and we are pleased to be able to share the achievement of the new innovation centre with everyone. It is another example of the way JCC work together. It could not have been achieved without team work and that is what we rely on.”

The company also has a presence in the Middle East, France, Hong Kong, China and Italy.
