TOWNSFOLK will show up to support Bognor Regis pier whatever the weather.
Pier backers staged a smaller fundraising effort on the town’s seafront after their initial plans were wrecked by the weather over the bank holiday weekend.
The Bognor Pier Trust members held an Easter egg hunt and a tombola on the seafront on Easter Monday.
The trust’s hopes for a bigger event on Sunday were washed away by four hours of heavy rain.
A handful of hopefuls turned up to take part in the hunt, but were told the bad news of the cancellation by the town’s mayor, Cllr Paul Wells.
However, people showed their enthusiasm for the cause at the re-arranged event.
