The five employees of the Royal Bay Nursing Home spent just over an hour pushing one of their beds on a three-mile round trip.

Their unusual journey took them from the home on Barrack Lane, where they were cheered on their way by the residents, to the Royal Bay Residential Home, in Aldwick Road.

Kirsty Isted, the activities co-ordinator, said they expected to beat their £150 target.
