A RALLYING call has been made to fight for the future of Bersted’s fields.
Residents and councillors have warned those who live in the area they must be ready to battle to keep the open spaces.
Their warning has been issued after the prospect of a development of up to 2,500 homes on farmland north of Chalcraft Lane was revived.
The site, across the road from West Meads in Aldwick, is to be looked at again by Arun District Council during a survey of potential areas for large housing estates.
This has re-awakened fears the Bognor Regis Eco Quarter proposal from 2008 could be dusted off.
