Valentine's walk in Bognor

A CHANCE to love their heart is being offered to everyone with a Valentine's Day walk along Bognor Regis seafront.

The sponsored stepping out is being held on February 14, in aid of two good causes.

Money raised by the walkers will go towards the Birthing Link organisation and the British Heart Foundation.

The walk has been organised by Bognor resident and Birthing Link founder Suzi Buckley.

Positive

She said: "It will be an occasion on which to feel positive.

"We have a nice beach and a nice seafront and, hopefully, the weather will be nice as well. It is a perfect occasion for families.

"I lost my dad to a heart attack in 2002 and the British Heart Foundation is a charity which is dear to me.

"I thought holding the walk for it on Valentine's Day would be a good idea."

Wear red

She has asked for those taking part to wear something red.

Their starting point will be The Waverley pub at the southern end of Nyewood Lane at 2pm.

The destination will be the Lobster Pot Cafe on Felpham seafront before the return to The Waverley for a warm cuppa after the 5km stroll.

They should register on the www.indigo-nlp.co.uk website.

Butlins in Bognor have kindly donated a free family pass for those who take part. Other businesses are welcome to sponsor this event.

Suzi started Birthing Link to promote bonding and communication between parents and their child before and after it is born.
