VOLUNTEERS hope the generosity of Bognor Regis residents will keep them among a charity’s best national fundraisers
The Wings Appeal fundraisers at the town’s RAFA Club have collected more than £20,000 in each of the past five years.
This helps past and present, sometimes badly-injured service personnel.
The appeal team has begun its 2014 activities. One of its initial major events is a barn dance on March 28 at the Gordon Centre on Canada Grove. Tickets are £7.
Ann Hewings, one of the fundraisers, said: “Anyone who has enjoyed our skiffle group when we have been out collecting will find them providing part of the entertainment for this event.”
“We are holding the dance at the centre because space at our Waterloo Squre club is limited and we want to ensure everyone will have plenty of room to join in.”
Tickets can be bought from the HQ daily from 11.30am-2.30pm and 7.30pm-10.30pm.
