STRAWBERRIES will be top of the menu at Binsted’s annual fair devoted to the fruit.
The village will be staging the 27th of its annual celebrations of strawberries this Sunday.
The location will be the Flint Barn, on Binstead Lane, Binsted, near Arundel, BN18 0LL, from 2pm-4.30pm.
Entry will be £1, with children under 12 free.
The friends and neighbours of Binsted will be gathering once again to offer strawberry teas alongside a large variety of garden shrubs and plants, homemade cakes and jams, ice cream, Pimm’s tent, music, raffle, books, wildlife information, toys, face painting, Shire horse and cart rides and children’s games and activities.
Proceeds from the fair are distributed to three local charities. The Friends of Binsted Church look after the 12th-century church with this major fundraising event each year.
In addition, a quarter of the proceeds from this year’s fair will go to Sussex Search and Rescue and a quarter to Mercy Ships.
