ALICE in Wonderland proved a charity winner for a group of Bognor Regis students.
The second year event management students at the University of Chichester staged an event based on the classic children’s story.
They could spend up to £100 putting on the occasion – and raised more than four times that amount for the Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
The final total handed over was £403.25, as well as raising awareness of the charity’s work with children with life-threatening illnesses.
One of the students, Jessica Martin, said they were pleased with the outcome. “We had decorations, games, performances and music all in aid of the chosen theme.
“We are very grateful for everyone that sponsored and donated raffle prizes to us and kindly donated decorations and props too,” she said.
This included a white rabbit made out of flowers which delighted everyone involved.
They included Kitty Roberts (White Queen), Ruthie Emerson (Alice), Casper Beade (Mad Hatter), Katie Tonkinson (Red Queen), Tegan Jones (White Rabbit), Bethan Williams (Tweedle Dum) and Chloe Anderson (Tweedle Dee).
