WELL over 150 finely-crafted items were put on display byAldwick Quilters.

The eighth of their exhibitions was held last Friday and Saturday at Pagham United Reformed Church. They filled the church with their colourful designs of varying shapes and sizes. Techniques included embroidery and patchwork.

Chairman Molly Hanwell said: “We have some very talented people in our group. We have at least 50 members and a waiting list of ten, which is growing.”

Janice Mandry’s Heirloom Quilt was one of the largest pieces on show. It measured at least 6ft X 6ft. “I’ve learnt so much about my sewing machine doing this, like sewing in circles and chain stitching,” she said.
