SANTA is being kept busy by children at Rose Green Infant School.

The 115 children in its reception year have all written a letter to Father Christmas to tell him their requests for presents.

They excitedly carried their letters in their four classes from the school on Hawkins Close to Rose Green Post Office to each buy a second class stamp from the postmaster, Mac Patel.

They handed over £1 and then used their change to buy a Christmas biscuit from his wife, Maina Patel.

The children, mostly aged about four years, posted their letters in the post box in Rose Green Road.

They stood on a step to reach the slot and are hoping Santa will write back to them.
