POLICE investigating a robbery in a Barnham alleyway have appealed for information.

Officers looking into the crime which took place in an alleyway between The Square and Market Close are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who has other relevant information to come forward.

About 3.30pm on Sunday, April 27 an 18-year-old man was walking home after buying tobacco at a local shop when he heard voices behind him.

Two youths assaulted him and stole his tobacco.

Two boys, one aged 16 and one aged 14, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery, questioned and released on bail until June 2 while enquiries continue.
