A NORTH Bersted woman is once again at the centre of a family of four generations.

Pamela Clark has become the great granny to Sophia Emily Hepworth.

The photograph which spans the decades echoes one published in the West Sussex County Times of April 30, 1971 in which she featured with members of her family.

Pamela, 73, of Chichester Road, said: “It’s really nice having four generations again. I never thought that would re-occur again.

“It will be nice for Sophia to realise this when she is older.

“It’s a bit scary looking at that newspaper photograph.

“When I look at it, it reminds me of when my two children were small and how grown-up they now are.”

Sophia was born on November 16 at St Richard’s Hospital. She weighed 4lb 10oz.

She is the daughter of school teacher Sarah Pawley, 29, and Adam Hepworth, 29, a motor mechanic, of Outerwyke Road, Felpham.

Adam is the son of Jeanette Clark, 50, who is the daughter of Pamela, who also has another daughter.

The West Sussex County Times’ article featured Pamela, her grandmother Ethel Read, 81, mother Freda Green and Pamela’s eldest daughter, Deborah.
