PUPILS from Yapton Primary School have officially re-opened the Southern Co-operative store and post office in the village.
The outlet on Main Road has been refurbished and extended.
The retail group donated £500 to the school as a thank you for attending the ceremony.
Eden Kirkby, the Co-op’s retail business manager, said: “The store is now around 70 per cent larger than before and has been refitted to improve the range of produce available and shopping environment as well as enabling us to include more energy-saving measures.”
The post office’s hours have also been extended to match those of the store.
