New home for unwanted gifts with charity

UNWANTED Christmas presents are being sought by the Aldingbourne Trust.

Pairs of socks, unwanted books, gadgets that can’t be fathomed and enough bubble bath to sink the bath tub will find a new home with the charity.

It will use the donations as prizes in raffles and tombolas at fundraising events. They can be for children or adults, men, women, boys or girls.

Nicki Clarke, the trust’s enterprise and events co-ordinator, said: “People are very generous with their donations for our events.

“We hold a variety of fundraising events – family open days, concerts or golf days. So, the audiences for the raffles are varied too.

“This has enabled us to hold successful tombolas and raffles. Consequently, we have raised fantastic sums of money for the charity.”

Donations can be dropped off at the Aldingbourne Country Centre, Blackmill Lane, PO18 0JP, off the A27 near Fontwell.

The trust is raising £4m to develop the facilities at the country centre.
